Theatre East’s two-part one-act festival 11 x 8 ambitiously offers 11 short plays presented on alternating nights

Writer Vince McKewin’s Autoerotica short play introduces JC as a Beverly Hills-adjacent social climber reminiscing about losing her virginity.

JC recently starred in a new play entitled PROS AND CONS FROM THE COLLECTION ABOUT SEX.  It was written by Deborah Pearl and was directed by Freddie Douglas.  It's was a solo performance for JC!  The play ran at the Theatre East at the Lex in Hollywood, California from May through July, 2006. JC is proud to be a member of the Theatre East Company.

JC co-produced the theatre's performances of THEY'RE NOT ZOMBIES, a comedy that will rip out your funny bone in Oct and Nov, 2006.

JC, along with her mom - Elmarie Wendel, will be filming a pilot in the spring of 2007 entitled DRIVING MISS CRAZY.  Also, starring Lou Ferrigno.  Check back for more details.

Currently JC has wrapped TWEAK THE HEAT in Las Vegas  and Los Angeles.  TWEAK THE HEAT is a film set in Las Vegas, and centers around 3 teens who get mixed up with crystal methamphetamine. JC plays the incredibly addicted & screwed up mother of one of the boys.  It's a drama with a message about the hideousness of this awful drug, and the power it has to ruin lives young and not so young alike.  There's a lot of action, romance, drama, gay issues, drug lords, car crashes, a rave or two, but mostly it's the true story of a young girl who fell into this hole and worked her way up out of it.  It's a true tale written by this young woman and is sort of a cross between GO, THIRTEEN and REQUIEM FOR A DREAM.  It's a hard core in your face real drama, and JC is very happy to be able to transition again to some drama, since she completed work on SOUR MIX, the award winning indie hit at the  festivals, Sundance, Cannes, Telluride, DGA, and more). Look for a release sometime next summer.

Right now, JC has almost finished writing two plays which will be done in LA with fabulous people.  JC is also going to produce, direct and perform ... so send her some good thoughts on these projects.

ME & MIAMI NANCY is a filmed adaptation of well-known songwriter Dean Grakkel 's first novel. Dean has written songs for the likes of the bands Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and countless other top performers in the music & recording industry.  It's an interesting experiment in independent film in that it is partly read from the novel, partly improvised, and partly acted.  JC plays parts of Nancy, the sexy girl/demo singer that Dean meets and falls for at songwriting camp for Celine Dion.  (Songwriting camp is apparently a lot like BandCamp ... lots of carousing and a little bit of music).  The film  has stars like Jon Bon Jovi, Stephen Tyler, Cloris Leachman , Ringo Starr ... (yes ... the actual Beatle!) ... and countless others reading, acting, and frolicking about having a blast in this very original high concept indie film. It's still in post production and is expected to be released in early 2005.  JC is thrilled to the very tips of her toes to be on screen with such giants of the music world, especially Stephen T. - as Aerosmith is possibly the greatest Rock 'N Roll band in the universe.
