J.C. is best known to audiences from the CBS half hour comedy DAVE'S WORLD, where she starred opposite Harry Anderson as his wacky secretary 'Mia', which ran from '92 through '97. Currently, JC has just wrapped on the independent film TWEAK THE HEAT.

J.C. grew up in the theatre and made her stage debut at the age of eight in Chicago.  She has many regional theatre credits including Singin' In The Rain, The Seagull, Laundrey and Bourbon, two national tours of The Odd Couple with Tim Conway and Tom Poston (the most fun she's every had on stage anywhere) and many others.  She comes from a show biz family, her mother - Elmarie Wendel - played 'Mrs. Dubcheck' on the NBC comedy THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN (for two seasons mother and daughter shot their respective shows on the same lot, and had dressing rooms facing each other at CBS Studios).  Her father is a playwright and artists and currently resides in New York City.

In 2002, J.C. was in the off-Broadway play, High Infidelity, at New York's Promenade Theatre with Morgan Fairchild and John Davidson.  The show was written and produced by J.C.'s father, and J.C. worked closely with him in development and pre-production.  There was, however, a very unfortunate turn of events when the director came onboard, and due to creative differences J.C. left the production during previews.

Among J.C.'s many television credits, include the Showtime film YESTERDAY'S TARGET (opposite Malcolm McDowell), THE X-FILES, CAROLINE IN THE CITY, NASH BRIDGES, DIAGNOSIS MURDER, among many others.

Additionally since DAVE'S WORLD, JC has starred in many pilots.  Her favorite was produced by Carsey-Werner (oddly enough the same nice people who produced THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN) was called EARTH SCUM, and was created by the executive producers of CHEERS.  In this pilot, JC played a super part - an alien /  socialite / mean girl (mean is always the most fun) and she starred opposite Mark Addy (THE FULL MONTY), Katie Sagal (MARRIED WITH CHILDREN and EIGHT SIMPLE RULES) and Dan Castenalleta (the voice of Homer Simpson on THE SIMPSONS, and countless others).  EARTH SCUM was so well written, produced directed, and acted I (we) never knew why the good folks at the  networks  never picked it up!!

J.C. just completed two independent film.  The first, SOUR MIX, which received a DGA Award and was represented at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, and the second, Miami Nancy, which was filmed in April of 2004 and is currently in post-production.  Both are scheduled for release in summer of 2005.
